Dryer displays F31 and may not start or may shut off shortly after starting.

Safety first: Turn off the dryer breaker and unplug the dryer before inspecting electrical connections. If you are not comfortable working with 240V circuits, contact a qualified electrician.

• Check the breaker: Ensure the double-pole breaker feeding the dryer is fully ON. Reset it by turning it OFF and then ON.
• Inspect the terminal block: Remove the rear terminal block cover. Look for burned wires or loose screws on the L2 connection. Tighten any loose screws and replace burned connectors or damaged wire.
• Examine the power cord: Check for cuts, burns, or melted insulation near the plug and terminal block. Replace the cord if damaged.
• Test voltage: With the dryer unplugged, have a qualified person test the outlet for correct 240V supply. If one leg is missing, the outlet or house wiring must be repaired.
• Reassemble and test: After correcting any issues, reinstall the terminal cover, restore power, and attempt to run the dryer to confirm the error is cleared.
