Dryer displays F70 and does not respond to controls or start a cycle.

Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the console or accessing control boards.

• Access the console: Remove the screws securing the console back panel and gently tilt it forward to expose the boards.
• Check harness connections: Locate the communication cable (often a multi-wire harness or ribbon) between the UI and main control. Reseat both ends firmly.
• Inspect for damage: Look for pinched wires, corrosion on connectors, or burned spots on either board.
• Power reset: With everything reconnected, restore power and see if the code clears. If F70 returns immediately, one of the boards is likely defective.
• Replace the likely failed board: If the UI is unresponsive or display is blank, replace the user interface first. If the UI lights but cannot communicate, the main control may need replacement. Always match part numbers and transfer any jumpers or settings as per service documentation.
