Possible Causes
Broken drive belt, belt slipped off idler or motor pulley, worn idler pulley
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug dryer and shut off gas.
Steps:
- Confirm belt issue: Open the door and try to spin the drum. If it spins very freely with little resistance, the belt is likely broken.
- Access belt: Remove front or rear panel to access the drum and belt path.
- Replace belt: Remove the old belt, route a new OEM belt around the drum, motor pulley, and idler pulley according to the belt routing diagram.
- Inspect idler: Replace the idler pulley if worn or noisy.
