Possible Causes
Failed exhaust thermistor, broken thermistor wiring, loose connector at control, faulty control board sensor circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug dryer and shut off gas before service.
Steps:
- Locate thermistor: Typically mounted on the blower housing near the thermal fuse.
- Check wiring: Inspect and reseat the thermistor connector and harness.
- Measure resistance: At room temperature, measure thermistor resistance and compare to specs. Infinite or very high resistance indicates an open sensor.
- Replace thermistor: Install a new OEM thermistor if readings are out of range.
- Control board: If a known-good thermistor and wiring are present, the control board may be defective.
