Restricted Airflow / Exhaust Temperature Fault
Dryer shows F30 and may not heat or may shut off quickly

Possible Causes
Severely clogged exhaust vent, crushed or kinked vent hose, blocked lint screen housing, failed blower wheel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the dryer and shut off gas before disconnecting venting.
Steps:
- Inspect vent hose: Pull the dryer away from the wall. Check the vent hose for kinks, crushing, or disconnections. Replace with a rigid or semi-rigid metal duct if using plastic or foil.
- Clean vent system: Disconnect the vent from the dryer and from the wall. Use a vent brush or vacuum to remove lint from the entire run to the outside hood.
- Check exterior hood: Ensure the outside vent hood opens freely and is not blocked by lint, nests, or debris.
- Test airflow: Run the dryer (no load) with the vent disconnected. Strong airflow at the outlet indicates internal blower is working. Weak airflow suggests a blower wheel issue or internal blockage.
- Inspect blower wheel: Access the blower housing, check that the blower wheel is firmly attached to the motor shaft and not packed with lint. Replace if cracked or loose.
