Dryer drum light does not turn off when the door is closed.

Safety First: Unplug the dryer before testing switches or removing panels.

• Step 1 – Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and engages the door switch plunger.
• Step 2 – Test door switch: Press the door switch by hand; the light should go off. If not, test the switch for continuity and replace if stuck closed.
• Step 3 – Inspect wiring: Check the wiring from the door switch to the control or light for shorts or damage.
• Step 4 – Control board check: On models where the control operates the light, a stuck relay may require control board replacement.
