Possible Causes
Severely clogged lint screen, Blocked exhaust vent or hood, Lint buildup in blower housing, Crushed or kinked vent hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the dryer before removing ducts or panels. Wear a dust mask when cleaning heavy lint.
- Step 1 – Clean lint screen: Remove the lint filter and clean it thoroughly. Wash with warm soapy water if coated with fabric softener residue, then dry completely.
- Step 2 – Inspect vent hose: Pull the dryer away from the wall. Check the flexible vent hose for kinks, crushing, or lint blockage. Replace foil or plastic vent with rigid or semi‑rigid metal duct if possible.
- Step 3 – Check exterior vent hood: Go outside and verify the vent hood flap opens fully when the dryer runs. Remove any lint, nests, or obstructions.
- Step 4 – Clean internal ducting: Remove the lower front panel and vacuum lint from the blower housing and internal ducts. Use a dryer vent brush to clean the full length of the vent run.
- Step 5 – Test airflow: With the vent disconnected, run the dryer briefly (no heat) and feel for strong airflow at the outlet. Weak airflow indicates an internal restriction or blower issue.
After restoring proper airflow, reconnect the vent, restore power, and run a test cycle to confirm that F30 is cleared.
