Safety First: Disconnect power before servicing the console or control area.

Step 1 – Power reset: Unplug the dryer for 5 minutes, then restore power and attempt to start a cycle.
Step 2 – Inspect harness connections: Access the console and main control. Check all harnesses related to the motor and UI for secure connections and no corrosion.
Step 3 – Reseat connectors: One at a time, unplug and reconnect the harnesses to ensure good contact.
Step 4 – Check for pinched wires: Inspect wiring between the console and main control for pinching or damage, especially where panels meet.
Step 5 – Replace control components as needed: If F71 persists, the main control board or UI may be defective. Replace with OEM parts following the service manual.

Due to the complexity of communication faults, professional diagnosis is recommended if basic checks do not resolve the issue.
