How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug dryer.
Steps:
- Clean moisture sensor bars: Inside the drum, locate the two metal sensor bars (usually near the lint filter). Clean them with rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth to remove residue.
- Check wiring: Access behind the front panel and verify the sensor harness is connected securely.
- Test sensor: If cycles still misbehave or E4 persists, the sensor assembly or control may need replacement.
