Dryer shows E4; may be associated with steam or sensor dry functions not working.

Safety first: Unplug dryer.

Steps:

• Clean moisture sensor bars: Inside the drum, locate the two metal sensor bars (usually near the lint filter). Clean them with rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth to remove residue.
• Check wiring: Access behind the front panel and verify the sensor harness is connected securely.
• Test sensor: If cycles still misbehave or E4 persists, the sensor assembly or control may need replacement.
