Restricted Airflow / Reduced Heating Efficiency
Dryer runs but takes excessively long to dry clothes; laundry is still damp after the normal program duration.

Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, Blocked condenser or heat exchanger, Partially blocked exhaust duct, Weak heating element or failing heat pump system
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before cleaning internal components.
- Clean lint filter: Remove lint from the filter after every load. Wash the filter with warm soapy water if it appears coated.
- Clean condenser/heat exchanger: For condenser and heat pump models, remove the condenser unit and rinse thoroughly to remove lint and dust. Allow to dry before refitting.
- Inspect exhaust duct (vented models): Disconnect the duct from the dryer and wall. Remove lint buildup and straighten any kinks or crushed sections.
- Check room conditions: Ensure the dryer is in a well-ventilated area and ambient temperature is within the recommended range.
- Test heating performance: Run the dryer empty on a heated program for 10 minutes and check if the exhaust air is hot. If only lukewarm or cold, further diagnosis of the heater or heat pump is required.
