Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing the motor or control board.

• Observe behavior: Note whether the drum rotates at all and if it ever reverses direction during a cycle.
• Inspect motor and belt: Remove panels to access the motor. Ensure the belt is correctly tensioned and not jamming the motor pulley.
• Check motor brushes (if applicable): On models with carbon brushes, remove and inspect them. Replace if worn below the minimum length or if they are sticking in their holders.
• Inspect wiring and connectors: Verify that all motor connectors are secure and that there are no burnt or loose terminals.
• Control board diagnosis: If the motor and wiring are sound but F15 persists, the direction control relays on the PCB may be faulty, requiring board replacement.
