Possible Causes
Defective main control PCB, Loose wiring harness between user interface and main control, Burnt relay contacts on power board, Voltage supply instability
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before opening any covers. Capacitors on the control board can retain charge; avoid touching components unnecessarily.
- Power reset: Turn the dryer off at the breaker or unplug for 5–10 minutes. Restore power and check if F2 clears.
- Check supply voltage: Verify the wall outlet with a multimeter. Ensure correct voltage and that the plug and cord are not overheated or discolored.
- Inspect control connections: Remove the top cover and front control panel trim as needed. Locate the main control PCB and user interface board. Reseat all multi-pin connectors, ensuring they are fully latched.
- Look for damage: Examine the PCB for burnt spots, swollen components, or cracked solder joints around relays and power components. Any visible damage usually requires board replacement.
- Test operation: Reassemble, restore power, and run a short timed cycle. If F2 returns, the main control module is likely defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
