Dryer door is difficult to open or does not stay closed properly

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before adjusting hinges or latches.

• Inspect latch and strike: Check the plastic latch on the cabinet and the strike on the door for wear or cracks. Replace if damaged.
• Check hinges: Tighten hinge screws on the door and cabinet. If the door sags, hinges may need replacement.
• Adjust alignment: Gently adjust the door position so it closes squarely against the cabinet. Test closure and opening several times.
• Replace worn parts: If the door still does not stay closed, replace the latch and strike with Logik-compatible parts.
