Dryer emits a musty or moldy smell on clothes after drying

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before cleaning internal components.

• Clean condenser and filters: Remove and thoroughly clean the condenser, lint filter, and any secondary filters with warm soapy water. Dry completely.
• Clean sump and pump area: Access the lower front or rear panel and wipe out any standing water, lint sludge, or mold from the sump and pump housing.
• Run a maintenance cycle: Run the dryer empty on the hottest setting for 30–40 minutes to help dry and sanitize internal surfaces.
• Improve room ventilation: Ensure the room is well ventilated and not excessively humid.
