Dryer leaks warm moist air into the room instead of outside (vented models)

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before handling the vent hose.

• Inspect hose connections: Check that the vent hose is securely clamped to the dryer outlet and the wall or window vent. Tighten clamps or replace if missing.
• Check hose condition: Look for splits, holes, or crushed sections. Replace the hose if damaged.
• Clean external vent: Ensure the outside vent flap is clean and opens freely. Remove any lint build-up.
• Seal joints: Use appropriate duct tape or clamps to seal any joints where air may be escaping.
