Possible Causes
Blocked lint filter, Blocked condenser or vent, Failing motor overheating, Partially blocked internal ducts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer and allow it to cool completely before inspection.
- Clean all filters: Remove and clean the lint filter and, if fitted, the condenser filter. Ensure they are completely free of lint.
- Check venting (vented models): Inspect and clean the vent hose and external vent. Remove any lint build-up.
- Inspect motor area: Remove the rear or side panel and check for lint accumulation around the motor and heater. Vacuum carefully.
- Test with small load: After cleaning, run a short cycle with a small load. If the dryer still overheats and stops, the motor or thermostats may be failing and should be tested and replaced as needed.
