Dryer will not start; display shows E01 immediately after pressing Start

Safety first: Unplug the dryer from the mains before removing any panels. Do not bypass the door switch for normal operation.

• Check the door closure: Open and firmly close the door. Ensure the latch hook on the door engages fully with the catch on the cabinet. Look for cracked plastic or loose hinges.
• Inspect the door switch actuator: With the door open, locate the door switch button or lever on the cabinet front. Press it by hand and listen for a distinct click. If there is no click or it feels loose, the switch may be faulty.
• Test continuity (if you have a multimeter): Remove the top cover (usually 2–3 screws at the back) and gently pull the control panel forward to access the door switch wiring. Disconnect the door switch connector and test for continuity across the switch terminals while pressing the actuator. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
• Check wiring at the hinge area: Inspect the wiring harness running from the door area to the main loom for pinched, broken, or burnt wires. Repair any damaged wires with proper crimp connectors and insulation.
• If all checks pass: The main control PCB may not be detecting the door closed signal. Reconnect all plugs firmly. If E01 persists, replacement of the main control board is usually required and is best done by a qualified technician.
