Possible Causes
Failed drum drive motor, Seized drum or worn drum support rollers, Broken or slipping drive belt, Faulty motor capacitor (on some Logik vented models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing any panels. Sharp edges inside the cabinet can cause injury.
- Check drum movement: With the dryer unplugged and door open, try to rotate the drum by hand. It should turn smoothly with moderate resistance. If it is very stiff or jammed, suspect seized drum bearings, felt seals, or foreign objects stuck between drum and cabinet.
- Inspect the drive belt: Remove the top cover and then the rear panel (or front panel on some condenser models). Verify the belt is intact, correctly routed around the motor pulley and idler pulley, and not heavily frayed or stretched. Replace if damaged.
- Check the motor: Look for signs of overheating (burnt smell, discoloration). Spin the motor pulley by hand; it should turn freely. If it is stiff or noisy, the motor may be failing.
- Motor capacitor (if fitted): On some Logik vented dryers, a start/run capacitor is mounted near the motor. A failed capacitor can prevent the motor from starting and trigger E02. Visually inspect for bulging or leakage. Replace with the exact µF rating if suspect.
- Test run: After reassembly, run a short cycle with no load. If E02 returns and the drum does not start or stops quickly, the motor or control PCB may need professional diagnosis and replacement.
