Possible Causes

Open-circuit heater element, Burnt heater terminals, Failed heater relay on main control PCB, Broken wiring between heater and control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Heating components can retain heat; allow time to cool.

  • Access the heater: On most Logik dryers, the heater assembly is mounted at the rear behind the back panel. Remove the screws and carefully pull off the panel.
  • Visual inspection: Look for burnt spots, broken coils, or discolored connectors on the heater assembly. Any visible damage usually means the heater must be replaced.
  • Check wiring: Inspect the wires from the heater to the thermostats and onward to the main harness. Tighten any loose spade connectors and replace any burnt or melted connectors.
  • Test the heater (with multimeter): Disconnect the heater terminals and measure resistance across the element. A typical reading is between 20–60 Ω depending on model. Infinite resistance indicates a blown element.
  • If heater is OK: The heater relay on the main control PCB may not be switching. Check for loose board connectors. If the relay is not energizing during a heat cycle, the control board may require replacement by a professional.
