Possible Causes
Full or incorrectly seated water tank, Blocked water level float chamber, Faulty water level float switch or sensor, Damaged wiring to tank sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing panels. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.
- Empty and reseat the tank: Remove the water collection tank (usually at the top left or bottom of the dryer). Empty it completely, rinse with warm water, and reinstall it firmly until it clicks into place.
- Clean the tank housing and float chamber: Behind the tank, there is often a float or sensor chamber. Lint and detergent residue can cause the float to stick. If accessible, gently clean this area with a damp cloth and ensure the float moves freely.
- Check for kinks in drain hose (heat pump models): Some Logik heat pump dryers have an internal pump and hose that feed the tank. Inspect for kinks or blockages if accessible from the lower front or rear panel.
- Inspect the tank sensor / switch: With the dryer unplugged and front panel removed (if necessary), locate the tank level switch or sensor near the tank slot. Check the connector for corrosion or loose fit. Reseat or replace the switch if it appears damaged.
- Test run: After cleaning and reseating, run a short cycle. If E06 persists with an empty, correctly seated tank, the level sensor or main control PCB may require replacement.
