Dryer controls do not respond; display shows CL (Control Lock).

• Step 1 – Disable control lock: Press and hold the designated Control Lock button (often the Cycle Signal or End of Cycle Signal button) for 3–5 seconds until CL disappears from the display.
• Step 2 – Check user manual: If unsure which button controls the lock, refer to your Maytag user guide for the specific model.
• Step 3 – Power reset: If CL will not clear, unplug the dryer for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try disabling the lock again.
• Step 4 – UI inspection: If the lock indicator remains stuck and buttons are unresponsive, the user interface board may be faulty and require replacement.
