Possible Causes
Failed pressure switch, Blocked pressure hose, Disconnected pressure hose, Faulty main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the dryer and shut off gas (if applicable) before servicing.
- Step 1 – Locate pressure switch: On models equipped with an airflow or pressure switch, it is typically mounted near the blower housing with a small rubber hose attached.
- Step 2 – Inspect hose: Ensure the hose is securely connected at both ends and not kinked, cracked, or blocked with lint. Clean or replace as needed.
- Step 3 – Test switch: With the hose connected, gently blow through the hose and listen for a click in the switch. You can also test continuity across the switch terminals while applying and removing pressure.
- Step 4 – Replace faulty switch: If the switch does not operate correctly, replace it with the correct OEM Maytag pressure switch.
- Step 5 – Control board check: If the hose and switch are good but F32 persists, the main control board may not be reading the switch correctly and may require replacement.
- Step 6 – Test cycle: Reassemble, restore power, and run a cycle to confirm the error is cleared.
