Midea
Moisture Sensing Inaccuracy
Dryer stops with clothes still damp when using sensor-dry cycles, but works on timed dry

Possible Causes
Dirty moisture sensor bars, Poor contact between clothes and sensor, Faulty moisture sensor, Control calibration issue
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing internal wiring.
- Clean sensor bars: Wipe the metal moisture sensor strips inside the drum with rubbing alcohol to remove residue.
- Avoid small loads: Very small loads may not contact the sensor consistently. Add a few similar items or use timed dry for very small loads.
- Check wiring: Inspect the moisture sensor harness and connector at the control board for secure fit.
- Replace sensor: If cleaning and wiring checks do not help, replace the moisture sensor assembly.
Until resolved, use timed dry to ensure complete drying.
