Dryer displays E13; may be associated with long drying times or no heat in heat pump/condensing models

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing any covers. Heat pump systems contain high-pressure refrigerant and should only be opened by certified technicians.

E13 indicates a problem in the heat pump system on applicable models.

• Clean condenser and filters: Remove and clean the condenser filter and any additional air filters according to the user manual. Rinse the condenser (if removable) with water and allow to dry.
• Ensure proper airflow: Make sure the dryer is installed with adequate clearance and that intake/exhaust grills are not blocked.
• Listen for compressor operation: During a cycle, you should hear the compressor start after a few minutes. If it never starts, the compressor or inverter board may be faulty.
• Do not attempt sealed system repairs: If cleaning and airflow checks do not resolve E13, contact an authorized service center. Sealed system work requires specialized tools and certification.
