E16
Midea
Water Tank / Condensate Tank Full (condensing models)
Dryer shows E16 and may not start or may stop with beeping

Possible Causes
Full condensate tank, Blocked water level sensor, Faulty float switch, Blocked condensate drain path
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing internal covers. Water and electricity are a hazardous combination.
E16 is specific to condensing/heat pump dryers with a water tank.
- Empty the water tank: Pull out the condensate tank and empty it completely. Reinsert it firmly until it clicks into place.
- Clean the tank and float: Rinse the tank and ensure the float moves freely. Remove any lint or residue that could jam the float.
- Check drain path: Inspect the internal drain hose from the condenser to the tank for kinks or blockages. Clean if necessary.
- Test float switch: If accessible, test the float switch for proper operation with a multimeter. Replace if stuck or electrically open/shorted.
If E16 persists with an empty, correctly seated tank, the level sensor or control board may be faulty and require service.
