Dryer shows F13 and may stop heating or abort cycles.

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring.

Clean and test moisture sensing:

• Locate the stainless-steel moisture sensor bars inside the drum (usually near the lint filter or on the drum front ring).
• Clean the bars thoroughly with a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth to remove fabric softener and detergent residues.
• On some models, remove the front panel to access the sensor wiring; check for loose or broken connections.
• Test continuity from the sensor bars to the control board connector to ensure wiring integrity.
• If the wiring is intact and cleaning does not resolve F13, the sensor input circuit on the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
