Possible Causes
Dirty or coated moisture sensor bars, broken moisture sensor wiring, failed moisture sensor module on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring.
Clean and test moisture sensing:
- Locate the stainless-steel moisture sensor bars inside the drum (usually near the lint filter or on the drum front ring).
- Clean the bars thoroughly with a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth to remove fabric softener and detergent residues.
- On some models, remove the front panel to access the sensor wiring; check for loose or broken connections.
- Test continuity from the sensor bars to the control board connector to ensure wiring integrity.
- If the wiring is intact and cleaning does not resolve F13, the sensor input circuit on the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
