Possible Causes
NTC sensor drift out of tolerance, poor NTC mounting contact, wiring resistance causing incorrect readings, control board A/D converter fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before testing sensors.
Verify sensor installation:
- Access the relevant NTC sensors (inlet and exhaust) and ensure they are firmly seated in their holders and making good thermal contact with the duct.
- Measure resistance of each NTC at room temperature and compare to service specifications; replace any that are significantly out of range.
- Inspect connectors for corrosion or loose pins that could add resistance.
- If sensors and wiring are correct but F14 persists, the control board’s measurement circuit may be defective and should be evaluated by a technician.
