Possible Causes
Broken drive belt, Belt slipped off idler pulley, Worn idler pulley causing belt misalignment, Overloaded drum causing belt failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Do not continue to run the dryer with a non-turning drum.
- Check drum movement: Open the door and try to spin the drum by hand. If it spins very freely with little resistance, the belt is likely broken.
- Access belt: Remove the front panel and lift out the drum to inspect the belt and idler pulley.
- Replace belt: If the belt is broken or heavily worn, replace it with the correct Monogram belt. Route it around the motor pulley and idler as per the belt routing diagram.
- Inspect idler and rollers: Spin the idler pulley and drum rollers. Replace any that are noisy or seized to prevent premature belt wear.
