Dryer runs continuously and does not shut off at the end of the cycle unless manually stopped

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing the control board.

• Verify cycle settings: Ensure you are not using a cycle with extended tumble or wrinkle prevent that intentionally continues tumbling.
• Test timed dry: Run a timed dry cycle. If the dryer does not shut off when the timer reaches zero, suspect the control board or timer.
• Check moisture sensor: Clean the moisture sensor bars and test again in an automatic cycle. A faulty sensor can cause extended run times.
• Inspect control board: If the dryer runs past the set time in all modes, the main control board relay may be stuck and the board should be replaced.
