Possible Causes
Blown thermal fuse on blower housing, Open power cord or terminal block connection, Tripped house breaker, Failed main control board power supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the breaker and unplug the dryer. Verify power is off before opening panels.
- Check breaker and outlet: Confirm the dryer breaker is on and the outlet has correct voltage.
- Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover and inspect the terminal block for burnt wires or loose screws. Repair or replace as needed.
- Test thermal fuse: Access the blower housing and locate the thermal fuse. Test for continuity with a multimeter. If open, replace the fuse and thoroughly clean the venting to correct the cause of overheating.
- Control board: If the fuse and power connections are good but the control remains dead, the main control board may have failed and require replacement.
