Possible Causes
Failed drive motor, Seized drum or idler pulley, Broken or jammed blower wheel, Open motor winding or thermal protector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. The motor and blower have sharp edges and can start unexpectedly if power is present.
- Check drum movement: Open the door and try to rotate the drum by hand. It should turn smoothly with moderate resistance. If it is very hard to turn or locked, suspect a seized bearing, roller, or foreign object.
- Inspect belt and idler: Remove the front panel and drum to access the drive system. Check the belt for breakage and the idler pulley for free rotation. Replace worn or seized components.
- Check blower wheel: Inspect the blower wheel for obstructions (lint, clothing, debris) and ensure it is firmly attached to the motor shaft. Replace if cracked or stripped.
- Test motor: With the motor removed or isolated, check for burnt smell, discoloration, or seized shaft. Use a multimeter to test motor windings for continuity according to Monogram specs. Replace the motor if windings are open or the shaft is seized.
- Reassemble and test: After replacing faulty parts, reassemble the dryer, restore power, and run a test cycle. If E07 persists with a new motor and free-moving drum, the main control board or motor relay may be defective and require professional service.
