Dryer beeps and shows E13, drum light may stay on, will not start

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing any panels. Do not force the door closed if it is misaligned.

• Inspect door alignment: Check that the door closes evenly and the gap around the door is uniform. Tighten loose hinge screws and adjust the door if it sags.
• Check door strike: Inspect the strike on the door for cracks or missing pieces. Replace if damaged so it can properly engage the switch.
• Test door switch: Access the door switch behind the front panel. Test continuity while opening and closing the door. Replace the switch if it does not change state correctly.
• Verify harness connection: Ensure the door switch harness is firmly connected to the main harness and control board.
• Re-test: After repairs, restore power and attempt to start a cycle. If E13 persists with a new switch and proper alignment, the main control board input circuit may be faulty.
