Possible Causes
Failed Start button on UI board, Damaged touchpad, Loose UI ribbon cable, Main control not detecting key press
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing the console.
- Check for lock features: Ensure the Control Lock or Child Lock feature is not enabled. Disable it per the user manual.
- Inspect console: Remove the console screws and gently tilt the panel forward. Check the ribbon cable between the UI and main control for secure connection.
- Test other buttons: If other buttons respond but Start does not, the Start key or its circuit on the UI board is likely defective.
- Replace UI board: If reseating the ribbon cable does not restore function, replace the user interface board or touchpad assembly with the correct Monogram part.
