Dryer displays E18, drum turns but no heat, often after long vent runs

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing internal components.

• Evaluate vent design: Check that the vent run length and number of elbows meet Monogram specifications. Excessive length or elbows can cause low exhaust temperatures and poor drying.
• Inspect vent for leaks: Ensure all vent joints are sealed and that there are no disconnected sections allowing heat to escape into the home.
• Test exhaust thermistor: Access the exhaust thermistor on the blower housing and test its resistance at room temperature. Replace if out of specification.
• Control check: If venting and thermistor are correct, the main control board may be misreading the sensor and require replacement.
