Dryer displays E20, interior light may stay on, door status incorrect

Safety first: Disconnect power before testing the door switch.

• Test door switch: Access the door switch and test continuity with the door open and closed. Replace if it does not open and close electrically as the door moves.
• Inspect wiring: Check the door switch harness for pinched or shorted wires to the cabinet.
• Adjust strike: Ensure the door strike engages the switch correctly. Adjust or replace the strike if needed.
• Control input: If the switch and wiring are good but the control always thinks the door is closed or open, the main control board input may be defective and require replacement.
