Possible Causes
Swollen door seal from heat, Jammed door latch mechanism, Deformed door catch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off and unplug the dryer. Do not force the door violently as this may damage the cabinet.
- Allow to cool: Wait 10–20 minutes for the door seal and latch to cool and contract slightly, then try opening again.
- Gentle pressure: Press inward on the door while lifting the handle to relieve pressure on the latch.
- Access latch from top: Remove the top cover and, if possible, manually release the latch tongue using a flat tool while gently pulling the door.
- Inspect and replace parts: Once open, inspect the door catch and latch assembly for deformation or damage. Replace worn components to prevent recurrence.
