How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before servicing moving parts.
- Localise the noise: Run the dryer briefly and listen from the front and rear to identify the noise source, then unplug.
- Inspect idler pulley: Remove the rear panel, release belt tension, and spin the idler pulley. Replace if it feels rough or squeals.
- Check rear bearing: On models with a rear drum bearing, inspect for wear or play. Replace the bearing kit if worn.
- Check belt alignment: Ensure the belt is centred on the drum and pulleys and not rubbing against cabinet edges.
