Possible Causes
Full condensate water tank, Blocked condensate level sensor, Kinked or blocked condensate drain hose inside cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off and unplug the dryer before removing any panels.
- Empty the water tank: Pull out the condensate water tank (usually at the top-left or bottom-right of Montpellier condenser and heat pump dryers). Empty completely and reinsert firmly until it clicks.
- Clean tank and float: Rinse the tank with warm water. Check for a stuck float or debris that could prevent the level sensor from reading correctly.
- Check internal drain path: Remove the lower front kick panel (if fitted) and inspect the internal drain tray and hose leading to the tank. Clear any lint or sludge buildup.
- Reset and test: Plug the dryer back in, wait 1–2 minutes, then restart a short program. If E02 returns immediately, the level sensor or wiring may be faulty and require professional testing.
