Possible Causes
Faulty drum rotation sensor (tacho or Hall sensor), Loose sensor magnet on drum or motor, Damaged sensor wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains before removing any covers.
- Check for mechanical obstruction: Ensure the drum turns freely by hand. Remove any trapped items that could cause irregular rotation.
- Access motor area: Remove the rear panel to access the motor and belt. Look for a small sensor near the motor pulley or on the motor shaft with a wiring connector.
- Inspect sensor and magnet: Ensure the sensor is firmly mounted and aligned with the magnet or encoder wheel. Re-seat any loose components.
- Check wiring: Follow the sensor wires back to the main PCB, checking for chafing, cuts, or loose plugs.
- Test and replace: If available, compare sensor resistance or output to service specifications. If faulty, replace the sensor with the correct Montpellier part. If E07 persists, the main PCB input circuit may be defective.
