Possible Causes
Low supply voltage, High supply voltage, Loose mains terminal block connection inside dryer
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the wall and unplug the dryer before opening the terminal cover.
- Check outlet: Plug another high-load appliance (e.g., kettle) into the same outlet to confirm it works correctly. If lights dim or breaker trips, have an electrician inspect the circuit.
- Inspect mains cord and plug: Look for heat damage or loose pins.
- Check internal terminal block: Remove the rear cover over the mains terminal block. Tighten any loose screws securing the live, neutral, and earth wires.
- Test again: Reassemble, restore power, and run a cycle. If E17 persists and household supply is confirmed stable, the control board’s voltage sensing circuit may be faulty.
