Possible Causes
Failed condensate pump motor, Blocked pump inlet filter, Jammed pump impeller
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Water may be present inside; protect the floor.
- Access pump area: Remove the lower front panel or rear panel (model dependent) to locate the small condensate pump unit.
- Check for obstructions: Remove any lint or debris from the pump inlet and surrounding tray.
- Inspect hoses: Ensure the hoses to and from the pump are not kinked or blocked.
- Test pump: With the dryer unplugged, gently rotate the pump impeller (if accessible) to free any jams. If the pump is noisy, seized, or shows signs of overheating, replace it.
- Reassemble and test: After cleaning or replacing the pump, reassemble and run a cycle. If E18 returns, the pump control circuit on the PCB may be faulty.
