Possible Causes
Overloaded drum with heavy items, Stiff or seized drum support rollers, Failing motor bearings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes.
- Reduce load: Remove some items from the drum, especially heavy towels or bedding, and try a smaller load.
- Check drum rotation: With the dryer off, rotate the drum by hand. If it feels rough, noisy, or very stiff, inspect the rear bearing and front felt/rollers.
- Inspect belt and pulleys: Remove the rear panel and check that the belt is correctly tensioned and that the idler pulley spins freely.
- Test again: After adjustments, run a short cycle. If E20 recurs quickly with a light load, the motor may be overheating internally and should be replaced.
