Possible Causes

Dirty or coated drum moisture sensor bars, Broken wire to moisture sensor, Faulty moisture sensor module on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing internal wiring. Cleaning the sensor bars can be done with the unit unplugged and door open.

Step-by-step checks:

  • Locate moisture sensor bars: Inside the drum, usually near the lint filter opening, there are two metal strips or bars.
  • Clean the sensor bars: Using a soft cloth and white vinegar or mild soapy water, thoroughly clean the bars to remove any waxy film from fabric softeners. Do not use abrasive pads that may scratch the surface.
  • Check for physical damage: Ensure the bars are not loose, bent, or broken.
  • Inspect wiring (if accessible): From the rear or front panel, trace the wires from the sensor bars to the control board. Look for broken connectors or chafed wires.
  • Test operation: After cleaning, run a sensor-dry program with a small load and see if E11 reappears.

When to call a technician: If the error persists, the sensor input circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
