Possible Causes

Blocked exhaust duct or internal air channels, Faulty exhaust temperature sensor, Disconnected airflow sensor wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing panels or ducting.

Step-by-step checks:

  • Clean lint filter and ducts: Remove and clean the lint filter. For vented models, disconnect the vent hose and clear any lint build-up. Check the external vent flap opens freely.
  • Inspect internal ducts: Remove the rear panel and inspect the metal ducts leading from the drum to the exhaust. Vacuum out lint and debris.
  • Check exhaust sensor: Locate the exhaust NTC or thermostat near the outlet. Ensure it is firmly mounted and its wires are intact.
  • Test sensor: With a multimeter, measure resistance at room temperature and compare to expected NTC values. Replace if open, shorted, or far out of range.

When to call a technician: Persistent E14 after cleaning and sensor replacement suggests a control board interpretation fault.
