Possible Causes
Vent hose disconnected or leaking (vented models), Blocked wall vent, Condenser dryer used in very small unventilated room, Damaged or missing rear duct seals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the dryer is unplugged before moving it or adjusting ducting.
- Check vent hose connection: On vented models, ensure the hose is securely attached to the dryer outlet and the wall vent. Replace brittle or torn hoses.
- Clean wall vent: Remove lint and debris from the external vent grille. Ensure the flap opens freely when the dryer is running.
- Improve room ventilation: For condenser and heat pump models, ensure the room has adequate ventilation. Open a window or door slightly during operation.
- Inspect rear duct seals: Check for missing or damaged seals around the exhaust duct at the rear of the dryer. Replace seals to prevent moist air leaking into the room.
