Dryer drum light does not work when the door is opened, but the dryer otherwise operates normally.

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before replacing the lamp or accessing the door switch.

• Replace lamp: Locate the drum lamp cover inside the drum. Remove the cover and replace the bulb or LED module with the correct Rangemaster part.
• Check door switch: If the new lamp does not work, test the door switch contacts that control the light. Replace the switch if it does not change state when the door is opened/closed.
• Inspect wiring: Check the wiring from the lamp to the control board for loose connections.
• Control board (LED models): If an LED module and wiring are good but still no light, the light driver on the main PCB may have failed; replacing the PCB is the usual remedy.
