Dryer makes a rattling or scraping noise, especially at low drum speeds.

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before searching for foreign objects.

• Inspect drum and baffles: Look inside the drum and under the baffles for coins, buttons, or other objects. Remove any debris.
• Check felt seal area: Rotate the drum by hand and listen for scraping. If noise is localised, inspect the front and rear felt seals for trapped objects and remove them.
• Access blower fan: Remove the front or rear panel (depending on design) to access the blower fan. Clear any lint clumps or foreign objects from the fan blades and housing.
• Tighten loose parts: Check for loose screws, brackets, or panels and tighten them.
