Dryer will not start at all; no lights or display; appears completely dead.

Safety first: Ensure your hands are dry when working with plugs and sockets. Disconnect the dryer before opening any covers.

• Check outlet and fuse: Test the wall socket with another appliance. If OK, check and replace the fuse in the dryer plug with the correct rating if blown.
• Inspect mains cable: Look for visible damage, cuts, or crushing. Replace the cable if any damage is found.
• Check household breaker: Ensure the circuit breaker or RCD has not tripped. Reset if necessary, but if it trips again, investigate for earth leakage or short circuits.
• Inspect mains filter and terminal block: Remove the rear cover and check the terminal block and mains interference filter for burning or loose connections. Replace damaged components.
• Control board power section: If power reaches the control board but the display remains dead, the board's power supply may have failed and the main PCB may need replacement.
