Possible Causes
Blocked condensate pump, Failed condensate pump motor, Blocked water level sensor or float switch, Kinked or blocked condensate hose to tank
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dryer from the mains. Water may be present inside; protect the floor from spills.
- Empty water tank: Remove and empty the condensate water tank. Clean it with warm water to remove lint and residue. Reinsert fully until it clicks into place.
- Clean pump area: Access the condenser compartment and look for a small sump or pump housing at the bottom. Remove any visible lint, fluff, or debris that could block the pump inlet.
- Check float or level sensor: If there is a float, ensure it moves freely and is not stuck by lint. Clean the float chamber carefully.
- Inspect condensate hose: Trace the hose from the pump to the tank or drain outlet. Straighten kinks and clear any blockages by flushing with water (with the pump removed if necessary).
- Test pump operation: With the dryer unplugged, disconnect the pump and test its resistance. If open circuit or seized, replace the condensate pump assembly.
