Possible Causes
Broken drive belt, Belt off idler pulley, Seized idler pulley, Worn motor pulley
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the dryer before opening the cabinet.
- Check drum movement: Try to rotate the drum by hand from inside. If it spins freely with no resistance, the belt may be broken.
- Access belt: Remove the top and front panels to inspect the belt around the drum, idler, and motor pulley.
- Replace belt: If broken or heavily worn, install a new Samsung dryer drive belt, routing it correctly around the idler and motor.
- Inspect idler pulley: Replace the idler if seized or worn to prevent premature belt failure.
